Updates
Here you can find relevant updates on the project.
-
Experimental and numerical propeller dataset now openly available
A new dataset is available in the "Data" section of the website. A database of propeller data gathered during project ENOLA is made available under a Creative Commons license, including geometries, experimental and numerical results.
-
New publication combining numerical methods to design wind turbine blades
Within the framework of the ENOLA project, a new scientific article has been published in the special issue “Cutting-Edge Applications of Wind Turbine Aerodynamics” from the journal Machines. This publication leverages the multi-fidelity numerical simulation methodology developed during ENOLA.
-
New publication assessing the MRF model for UAV CFD simulations
A new publication examines the validity of the Moving Reference Frame (MRF) CFD model for simulating UAV propellers under non-axial inflow conditions—specifically, in forward-flight regimes where aerodynamic loads become highly asymmetrical.
-
Multifidelity surrogate presented at CEAS Torino
We presented in AIDAA-CEAS Torino results from ENOLA's first work package.A neural-network surrogate trained on mixed-fidelity data enables efficient, noise-aware propeller design with improved robustness compared to single-fidelity approaches
-
ENOLA modular drone design complete
The second work package of ENOLA is focused on designing, building, modelling and testing a modular UAV (drone). We're happy to report that the design phase of the work has been completed. Take a look at the finished design and drone configurations in this update.
